THE GREAT WHALE CONSERVANCY
While many of us believe that whales are now protected through government treaties and environmental activism, their precarious existence is far from secure. Endangered blue whales and other Great Whales are being killed by collisions with ships while feeding along the California coast.
Following the success of our work on “Saving Valentina”, we were contacted by The Great Whale Conservancy to create a short film to help raise awareness and bring action to this ongoing threat to the Blue Whales and other Great Whales in our oceans.
Narrated by Louie Psihoyos (director of the Academy Award® winner The Cove), “Ships vs. Whales” has traveled the country, including trips to Washington, DC to inform and alert everyone about this threat to our oceans and the worlds largest mammals.
