What they asked us to do...
Kanbar Associates was putting the finishing touches on their first animated feature, HOODWINKED, and was inking a deal with the Weinstein Company for distribution. They felt a picture book based on the movie should be made in time to be in stores at the release of the film, only several months away…..
What we did...
Alligator Planet worked with the director and the animation in studio in India to download high rez images of the film as they became ready and put them into the format of a 32 page book that managed to tell the interweaving “Roshomon”-like telling of the Little Red Riding Hood story from the perspective of 4 characters. Working with the publishing company in Omaha and a printing company in Canada, high rez pdf’s of the final book were sent in time for ontime printing and delivery.
Our results...
A beautiful book that cleverly wove story, pictures, word balloons, that won praises all around. A smaller version was subsequently printed for distribution with the DVD of the film.
